When I was a kid, I wish I could be a doctor because doctor can help others. When I was in elementary school, my grade was good enough so my father allowed me to enter Petra 3 Christian Junior High School, a well known school in my hometown. Because the school is highly competitive, I realized that I couldn’t stand by myself, I should maintain good relationship with other people. When I was in High School, I realized that my biology grade was not good enough, so I thought it would be difficult to be a doctor, I finally gave up my dream to be a doctor. Then I decided to study Civil Engineering since I deeply interested math and drawing perspective. Civil Engineering is known as the most difficult major in Petra Christian University, I know it will be difficult so I planned to finish my study in 4,5 years (normally 4 years), I didn’t have a good plan when I started my bachelor degree, I just though to pass my classes, I didn’t think to have an excellent grade. I know study in Civil Engineering is not easy, I must study together with my friends. Civil Engineering students are known as an unified group and I can recognize the true friendship when I became a civil engineering student. When 4th semester, I realized that I could pass my study within 4 years, so I changed my plan to be graduated in 7th semester. I know I wasn’t an excellent student, but I know there are a lot of my friends that need my help. I think, I better help other to study than I must study alone to get excellent grade. Some of my friends must face college life with struggle, I feel peaceful when I could teach and help them. In 5th semester, I chose Management Construction Department because I want to learn more about actual condition in project, there are many factors can be happened in project, so is in our life. I want to learn about how to face some risks, how to make decision, how to plan something well, how to manage something and how to help others. In 6th semester I could reach my highest GPA of semester, I have never realized that I could reach 3,93 for my GPA of semester. When I tried to count my grade, I realized that I couldn’t get cumlaude predicate if I took my study for 7 semesters, but I still stick on my plan, I still choose finishing my study for 7th semesters and then I worked to General Contractor Company. I want to get work experience first than I apply for study in master degree, because for me, experience is more essential than excellent grade.
